About the opportunity

As the Senior Administration Officer, you will provide a full suite of professional executive support services to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Indigenous Strategy and Services (DVC ISS), Professor Lisa Jackson Pulver AM and across the ISS Executive team.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • report to the Project Manager (Executive Office), and collaborate with Senior Administration Officers
  • manage the DVC ISS's diary, draft and review correspondence, and format reports and other documentation
  • manage complex and, often urgent, travel arrangements for the DVC ISS
  • manage financial processes for the DVC ISS including procurement and invoicing
  • build and manage effective working rapport with key stakeholders and staff across the portfolio and the University

About you

  • experience supporting an executive-level employee in a tertiary or government organisation
  • advanced computer skills, with extensive executive diary management experience
  • excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, relationship building and influencing skills
  • excellent time and workload management skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks
  • ability to work both independently and as part of a team, taking initiative & exercising sound judgement
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in handling a wide range of enquiries

Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the position.
