The Facilities Division operates across campus to maintain and develop our buildings, providing vital support services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. 

A great opportunity has arisen to join a busy, dynamic and friendly team in support of our vision “making campus an inspiring place to be”.

We currently have a vacancy for a part time Security Officer working on our main Bailrigg Campus.  The post is a part of a job share working an average 21 hours per week.  These hours will be worked on a rotational basis working days shifts (06.00 to 18.00). 

The shifts would rotate between Monday to Thursday or Friday to Sunday and would cycle through 52 weeks a year.   

You should be hard working, reliable, willing to learn and possess excellent customer service skills. Security experience is not essential but desirable with experience of working in a similar, multicultural, environment. You should be comfortable working with computers and multiple software systems. You will need to be educated to GCSE level in Maths and English and be committed to high standards, able to work on your own initiative whilst also being comfortable working in a team environment. You will have a flexible approach and attitude to solving day to day problems. You should also be open to adopting new ideas and processes and have a willingness to undergo development training.
