NTU is a great place to work. We take care of our colleagues with flexible and competitive packages, and the opportunities for genuine professional progress. We respect and value all our staff, because we know that it takes a strong and diverse workforce to maintain the kind of success we’ve achieved.

Our award-winning research is celebrated around the world, and we’re proud of our strategic partnerships. It’s all down to the ability of our people to shape, create and innovate, in whatever capacity they work with us. Our continued success — underpinned by the number of prestigious national awards we’ve won — has hinged on two commitments: creating excellent global collaborations, and harnessing the talents of all our people.

NTU is a university at the peak of its powers, but we know we can still go even further. Join us in our mission to become ‘the university of the future’ — seize the challenge and adventure of working with an organisation where progress never stops. This is your career, reimagined.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, customer-focused, and creative School Marketing Manager to lead the development and implementation of innovative, sector-leading content and marketing activity for the School of Art & Design.

The School of Art & Design is one of the world’s leading art and design schools and has been influencing, inspiring and innovating for over 175 years. The School brings different disciplines together to inspire students to think beyond their passion and make a bigger impact from sustainability to enterprise to social justice – challenging, collaborating and thinking creatively to transform lives, society and the world we live in.

The School Marketing Manager will manage the marketing relationship with the School of Art & Design, working across the CAMS team, School team and the wider University, to deliver the annual marketing plan to meet School strategic priorities across student recruitment, student experience, reputation, research and enterprise.

You will be responsible for developing and effectively managing the delivery of a broad range of marketing activity (e.g. print, web, digital, social media, events) for the School, ensuring the content is timely, engaging, inclusive and relevant to the target market.

A key aspect of the role will be managing digital content creation, including delivery of engaging web, email and social media copy, digital assets, video and photography, and ongoing website development. Strong communication skills and a good eye for detail are vital as the role holder will be responsible for ensuring that marketing activities communicate a consistent message, meet brand guidelines, and adopt the appropriate tone of voice for diverse audiences.

Candidates are expected to have a positive approach to teamwork, and will ideally have experience of working in a complex environment and the confidence to liaise with stakeholders across the institution.

Candidates should hold a degree (or equivalent) and possess a broad range of marketing skills and experience. A marketing qualification or a commitment to working towards one is desirable.

In this role there is the flexibility to work from home, and to spend time working from NTU’s campuses. The working pattern will be determined by the demands of the role, and individual circumstances, and we are happy to discuss with candidates further.

If you have any questions about this role, please contact Helen Randle, Head of Schools Marketing at [email protected]

Closing date: Monday 15 November

Interview date: Thursday 25 November

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to submit a digital portfolio of work ahead of the interview.

This role is open to non-UK/Irish applicants subject to current UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) rules. Please ensure that you have the appropriate right to work in the UK for this role and consult the Home Office website for further information.
