Salary

Full time starting salary is normally in the range of £45,751 per annum.


About the Role

Working as part of a small team, the role plays an important part in supporting the financial management of the School by contributing to the compilation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and provision of accurate financial data. Close monitoring of actual outturns, and identifying and addressing issues, along with providing a high standard of financial reporting, analysis, modelling and professional advice are all key elements of this role which can impact on the School’s achievement of its financial and strategic aims, and which support the School’s decision-making process.

About You

You will be a qualified accountant with significant experience in budgeting and forecasting, and an in-depth knowledge of technical accounting concepts. You will have a detailed understanding of management information reporting, financial planning and control, and financial modelling, and demonstrate a high attention to detail.

You will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to interpret complex financial information and communicate this effectively across a broad spectrum of individuals, including senior University staff and academic budget holders.

You will require a flexible approach and the ability to meet tight deadlines, prioritising your own workload effectively.

The embedded finance team for the School of Management is a dedicated team providing financial budgeting, forecasting, reporting and advice to support the financial management of the School of Management and its subsidiary companies.
