This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home.

This new full-time post is available immediately on a fixed term basis for 12 months.

Summary of the role

We have an exciting opportunity available within our award-winning Access, Participation & Outreach Team to support the implementation of our educational short courses. This role is responsible for designing and delivering a range of events and programmes as part of our international summer school and fair access programmes. A primary focus will be ensuring activity is coordinated and impactful with the aim of growing applications from high quality students from a diverse range of backgrounds and supporting the University’s recruitment, widening participation and global agendas. You will work both on and off campus with a range of stakeholders to include teachers and HE advisors, prospective students, parents and carers, academics and postgraduate researchers, so an ability to build partnerships and manage relationships is essential. You will be involved in developing lesson plans, online resources and/or marketing materials. Supporting the planning and delivery of residential and online programmes will be key focus and will require you to work effectively with colleagues from a number of different teams.  This role will involve management of student groups, including under 18s and so knowledge of safeguarding, confidence in dealing with challenging or disruptive behaviour, and resilience under pressure will be essential.
