Residences Support Assistant for Oxford Brookes Managed Halls: Warneford Hall, Lady Spencer (Wheatley), Westminster Hall, Clive Booth Student Village, Crescent Hall and Thames Street Hall
Administration: To support the Hall with a range of administration and reception duties, including:
To cover reception and deal with inquiries by phone, in person and by email;
Updating of hard copy and electronic records;
Programming and issuing of salto cards;
Delivery of communication material to residents, updating posters, letters etc.;
Checking students and conference guests in and out of their rooms;
Conducting and assisting with show rounds for potential students and conference guests;
Keeping a record of incidents on site ; and
Receipting deliveries and arranging their safe storage or collection as required.
Welfare and Incident Response: To support residents with issues and to provide a first line “triage” response to incidents on site, including:
Responding to fire alarms and arranging for building evacuation as required;
Calling out emergency services ;
Issuing keys and responding to lock outs;
Arranging for appropriate emergency maintenance call out and recording any maintenance issue that the post holder becomes aware of;
Dealing with enquiries from residents and acting as a conduit to refer residents to sources of help and advice;
Calling on duty/on call officer if required; and
Being aware of student welfare issues and bringing them to the attention of the appropriate person.
Site Management: Ensuring the Site presents well and is safe at all times.
Hours are between 10-20 per week with regular weekend work and holiday work. The pay is paid hourly at £10.70.
