Residence Life Duty Manager - Events & Conferencing

About the role

An exciting opportunity to work within Campus Services Team within the Estates and Campus Services division at the University of Leicester. You will be responsible for supporting activities relating to the Accommodation team whilst on shift, 5 days out of 7.

You will supervise and support the day-to-day operations of the Leicester Conferences Events team by planning and organising work, directing staff and overseeing the allocation of physical resources. 

The standard of customer services provided by Leicester Conferencing plays an important part in shaping the reputation and commercial performance of the department and contributes to the overall student experience. This role will therefore be crucial to the department’s success in the future.


Core hours will be flexible between 8:00 - 18:00 Monday - Friday. Evening work, additional weekend days and sharing cover for Closure Days will be dependent on business and operational need at key times.
 
About you

Looking for a highly organised and adaptable professionals. You'll be approachable and able to work well with others or use your own initiative to ensure service delivery of a high standard. Experience in a similar setting desirable but not essential.


You will love working with a range of colleagues, supporting them in their work roles, and encouraging them to develop. You will be passionate about excellent customer service, be innovative in your approach, and want to influence a positive experience for our customers.
