The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University appoints a selection procedure for the position Researcher / methodologist for The Czech National Centre for Evidence-Based Healthcare and Knowledge Translation of the Faculty of Medicine MU

The Czech National Centre for Evidence-Based Healthcare and Knowledge Translation (CEBHC-KT) placed at the Masaryk University, Czech Republic is an umbrella institution for the Cochrane Czech Republic, Czech Republic CEBHC: JBI Centre of Excellence, Masaryk University GRADE Center. It is a unique center, even in a worldwide context, that joins together four significant international organizations dealing with evidence-based medicine, research methodology, systematic reviews, and clinical practice guidelines. Our focus as healthcare professionals since opening in 2013, is on advocating for evidence-based healthcare, high-quality research and trustworthy systematic reviews and guidelines in the Czech Republic and Central Europe.

The scope of your work will be:

  • Scientific research activities, in particular including development of various types of systematic reviews,
  • Project activities, involving cooperation on project proposals preparation as well as collaboration on on-going  national and international projects of CEBHC-KT
  • Methodological collaboration in clinical practice guidelines development
  • The teaching of the EBM approach, methodology of science and research, systematic review, and clinical practice guidelines within study programs at the Medical faculty of Masaryk University
  • Lecturing and active participation at conferences
  • Publishing activities

Required qualification:

  • completed university education in medical, biomedical, or allied health disciplines, or related fields; (it is a condition);
  • completed Ph.D. studies in the above fields, or at least the plan to start a PhD (it is a condition);
  • an active knowledge of the English language, allowing both teaching and presenting at an international conferences in English, (it is a condition);
  • knowledge of EBM principles, methodology of systematic review development, including meta-analysis and clinical practice guidelines is a great advantage
  • experiences with international cooperation or other foreign experiences are very welcomed
  • prerequisites for scientific-research work supported by a candidate's published track record in high-quality international journals (with Impact factor, indexed in Web of Science);
  • experiences with teaching in undergraduate or postgraduate study programs are a great advantage
  • own initiative to develop and educate in all of the above areas, and in particular in the methodology of varius study designsand clinical practice guidelines
  • an interest in actively participating in the development of CEBHC-KT
  • moral integrity
