Researcher in Artificial Intelligence for Medical Image Analysis

The Nuffield Department of Population Health (NDPH) contains world renowned population health research groups and provides an excellent environment for multi-disciplinary research and teaching.

We are seeking a Researcher in Medical Image Analysis to apply and develop state-of-the-art image analysis and machine learning algorithms for discovery of new microvascular health parameters for type 2 diabetes and cardio metabolic diseases in the Oxford – Novo Nordisk Collaboration. You will be responsible for adapting and developing new tools for imaging biomarker discovery, conduct literature, and present papers at conferences and manage your own research activities.

To be considered, you will hold (or be close to completion of) a relevant PhD/DPhil (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Medical Image Analysis), together with relevant experience, possess sufficient specialist knowledge in medical imaging in particular retinal imaging, computer vision or image processing, and machine learning to work within established research programmes, ability to manage own academic research and excellent communication skills.

This is a full time, fixed term post (part time considered) until 1st September 2025.
