The National Centre of Excellence for Food Engineering at Sheffield Hallam University is playing a strategic role in developing advanced engineering capability for the food and drink industry, providing a major competitive advantage to this significant sector.

We are looking for a researcher with strong experimental skills in food process engineering and strong knowledge of ingredient functionality, rheology, and food characterization. Working with Rakusen's Limited, the project aims to develop smart and sustainable baking of water biscuits.

You should have a research experience in the field of food/ chemical/ process engineering or science with good knowledge of rheology, the impact of the ingredients and hands-on experience with relevant analytical techniques such as rheometer, tensiometer, texture analyser, particle size analyser, SEM, TEM etc. You should have the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively, both on projects and as part of a team.
