Research Services – Doctoral College
This post is available immediately as a part-time (0.5 FTE) position, on a fixed-term 12 month basis. This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home. 

Summary ef the role

Do you have the skills, knowledge and passion to help us deliver an excellent portfolio of researcher development and training for PGRs across the University, and create a vibrant and supportive research culture in Exeter? In this role you will be jointly responsible for managing a highly regarded researcher development programme for PGRs as part of Research Services, the Doctoral College and Innovation, Impact and Business, which comprise a single division.

You will work with colleagues across the University to support Researcher Development at Exeter and coordinate support for research-active academics at all career stages. You take on a job-share role, within a small team of specialists in researcher training and development who work together to ensure our researchers are able to excel and have high quality support to enable them to fulfil their potential.

The Research Services Directorate is a key enabler to the delivery of the University's Research and Impact Strategy, to meet our ambitious research and knowledge exchange income and postgraduate research targets and for a successful Research Excellence Framework (REF).

The Research Services Directorate also provides overall Professional Services leadership for the Exeter Doctoral College. Our Doctoral College supports the continuing growth of our Postgraduate Research (PGR) and Early Career Researcher (ECR) community, and development of the resources, facilities and spaces required to maintain a high-quality PGR and ECR experience. We are looking for an exceptional candidate to co-lead on the researcher development of our Postgraduate Researchers.
