Grade 07S: £36,024 - £44,263 per annum
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE CLOSING DATE FOR THIS VACANCY HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO 7 MAY 2024.
The Social Science Division is looking for a Research Training Coordinator to lead on the development and delivery of innovative training courses for the new cohorts of Grand Union Doctoral Training Programme (DTP) students. The Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) has recently awarded funding to continue to deliver the DTP which supports graduate funding for approximately 45 students per year across the three partner institutions (University of Oxford, the Open University and Brunel University London) and to fund training that will support students’ professional development as the social science leaders of the future.
The postholder will work closely with the Deputy Director of the DTP to design, develop, plan and deliver five new, tailored interdisciplinary courses for DTP students covering general social science theory and methods, drawing upon the expertise across the Grand Union DTP’s three institutions. The courses will be delivered from October 2024 to the new cohort of DTP students, and are essential to the DTP’s commitment to assist the professional development of twenty-first century social scientists.
You should have a PhD or postdoc experience in social science research and experience of developing and delivering training. The ability to work independently and manage a discrete project are key, as well as effective collaborative and organisation skills.
For an informal discussion about the role, please contact Juliette Hargreave, DTP and Studentships Manager, at juliette,[email protected].
This is a part-time role at 0.2 FTE and is fixed-term until September 2026.
Applications should be made online. For further details, please see the Job Description. Only applications received before 12:00pm on Monday 29 April 2024 can be considered. The interview date is to be confirmed.
