Research Technician in Neuroscience

Updated: over 2 years ago
Location: Manchester, ENGLAND
Deadline: 08 Oct 2021

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team in the Petersen lab as a full-time research technician.  The lab investigates the neural mechanisms of sensation and we are currently focussed on an exciting new project which aims to determine how the somatosensory circuits of the brain function during natural exploratory behaviour.  You will have two roles.  First, to play a key direct role in our research, through behavioural testing and histological processing.  Second, to play a crucial role in enabling our research through efficient lab management.  Ideally, you will have experience with research involving rodents in vivo and a strong interest in our science.

As an equal opportunities employer we welcome applicants from all sections of the community regardless of age, sex, gender (or gender identity), ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation and transgender status.  All appointments are made on merit.

Our University is positive about flexible working – you can find out more here
