Required to support two research projects within busy laboratories, the first project is part of a UKRI BBSRC-funded research grant ¿Insect cell culture systems to explore the symbiont-sex determination system interface and the second project is based on rotavirus cultivation and molecular analysis as part of the DEVASAC study ¿Accelerating the Development of the Next Generation of Enteric Virus Vaccines through Sequencing and Antigenic Cartography¿. The successful candidate will have practical cell culture and molecular biology experience to aid the provision of an effective and efficient technical service within the University for staff and students. You will participate in the safe and efficient operation of a technical facility/group of facilities supporting technical and academic users. Role holders may also support other facilities where required. You will be expected to take responsibility for organising your work in order to meet targets and deadlines. You should have a BTEC Higher Level (or equivalent) and have laboratory experience.
