The role holder will contribute to delivering a state-of-the-art Innovate UK-funded research project in the Energy and Smart Grids Research Group, by supporting the PI (Dr Geev Mokryani) and the research team with the project management tasks and the organisation of activities and interaction with the project collaborators/network operators from Nigeria, including data collection and dissemination of research.

This work will also involve analysis of socio-economic and regulatory obstacles to innovative business models for local energy systems modelling studies for typical Nigerian network configuration.

It is essential that the role holder has a science-based degree in the relevant subject area (Electrical Power Engineering) with experience in planning and operation of microgrids and energy communities.

This is a part-time role and the working hours will be as follows: 24.25 hours per week.
