We are looking to recruit a Research Network Manager to organise and coordinate the network activities of the recently funded E.P.S.R.C, B.B.S.R.C and M.R.C network ¿Connect NMR UK: A National NMR Network for the Physical and Life Sciences¿ which aims at maximising the impact of the UK NMR infrastructure. We encourage applicants from NMR researchers or management backgrounds with high-level skills that will enable strong engagement with the UK NMR science community and beyond, and deliver the vision of the Network.  Key skills are: Excellent transferable skills; Ability to work within a team, to communicate across the various disciplines of NMR and to support researchers; Experience in solid-state or liquid-state NMR in either Materials, Chemical or Biomolecular Research Sciences and a strong academic track record (e.g., publications and/or patents); Understanding of the UK research landscape.

In addition, it would be preferable for the candidate to have experience in some of: Working with industrial partners, organising scientific meetings; Establishing online platforms; Engaging with research stakeholders. This is an opportunity for an ambitious scientist to create synergies by connecting and engaging the NMR communities in the physical and life sciences with a broad range of research communities. We will consider part-time working and remote working. You should have a PhD in NMR spectroscopy applied to the Chemical, Physical, Materials or Biological Sciences, or Chemical Engineering. A commitment to developing a collaborative research environment is essential, and we will seek examples of this at interview. The post is Fixed Term initially until 31 January 2025.
