View All Vacancies
Are you interested in using your literature review, project management, and quantitative analysis skills on a project studying regenerative agriculture?
Dr David Williams, Dr Ruth Wade, and Dr Jenny Hodbod have recently received funding for a 15-month project ‘Quantifying the Potential for Regenerative Agriculture to Contribute to Net-Zero in the UK’. Using published literature and expert opinions we will conduct a synthesis of UK net-zero agricultural interventions, determining their barriers, opportunities and potential impacts, and estimating the level of certainty we currently have about these effects.
We are looking for a 50% Grade 5 research project assistant to assist in the following project activities:
- A scoping review with Delphi-technique expert elicitation to identify best-estimates of the potential of on-farm interventions for carbon sequestration and their impacts (positive or negative) on agricultural yields.
- An expert elicitation workshop with farmers to identify barriers and enabling conditions for each intervention.
What we offer in return
- 26 days holiday plus approx.16 Bank Holidays/days that the University is closed by custom (including Christmas) – That’s 42 days a year!
- Generous pension scheme options plus life assurance
- Health and Wellbeing: Discounted staff membership options at The Edge, our state-of-the-art Campus gym, with a pool, sauna, climbing wall, cycle circuit, and sports halls.
- Personal Development: Access to courses run by our Organisational Development & Professional Learning team.
- Access to on-site childcare, shopping discounts and travel schemes are also available.
And much more!
If you are looking for a role that will develop your skills in literature review, project management, and quantitative analysis skills while studying regenerative agriculture, apply today.
