This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an exceptional team of motivated and enthusiastic nurses responsible for running a portfolio of early phase and advanced therapy clinical research trials, including academic & pharmaceutical studies.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills, who will embrace the opportunity to work with a unique supportive team whilst being encouraged to develop their own professional and personal skill set. 

The diversity of the role requires  some post qualification experience in the field of research or oncology and the necessary interpersonal skills to support cancer patients taking part in clinical trials. You will require the expertise to perform cannulation and venesection as well and be required to administer unlicensed drugs and vaccines. A full induction & orientation programme is provided.

The role requires a weekday work pattern with some degree of flexibility on working hours and days and occasional weekends. Some out of hours & night duty may be required. 

The University of Southampton offers 30 days annual leave, plus 8 bank holidays with an additional 6 extra statuary leave days over Easter & Christmas (all pro-rata for part time staff).

This post will require an Enhanced DBS check.

The post is available on a full-time basis, for two years in the first instance.
