Role Description

Cranfield University Finance department welcomes applications from experienced Accounts Assistants.

About the Role

You will be responsible for the ongoing post award administration of an allocated portfolio of research and consultancy projects for parts of the University and some of its subsidiary companies.  This is an administrative support role within the team that will include the production of invoices and claims, the collation of evidence (e.g. signed timesheets, supporting documentation etc.) and other key operational support, especially where these are in relation to audit requirements set by customers and sponsors of research.

You will also be expected to assist the Research Monitoring and Claims Accountant with other tasks such as those pertaining to more complex research and consultancy projects we administer.

About You

You will be AAT qualified (or equivalent) or be able to demonstrate relevant prior work experience. You will also have substantial experience in a large complex organisation or Higher Education institution. You must have the ability to read and understand the legal requirements of commercial contracts and grant agreements to ensure that cost claims can be correctly calculated in accordance with the terms and conditions of funding.
