The Social Sciences Division at the University of Oxford is seeking a dynamic and experienced impact professional with a keen interest in supporting our world-leading academics to extend the impact and influence of their research. Based in the divisional Research, Impact and Engagement Team, you will provide dedicated tailored support for three Departments within the Social Sciences Division as well as supporting division-wide culture change and capacity building endeavours.  

The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge and understanding of engagement and impact in the academic context, an interest in the social sciences and experience of working with a range of stakeholders including businesses, policymakers, NGOs and communities.

You will spend time embedded in each department supporting them to deliver their engagement and impact strategies, providing one-to-one guidance and proactive support to researchers, delivering training, running events focused on partnership building and collaboration, and advising on monitoring and evaluating engagement and impact. You will need exceptional interpersonal and listening skills, an ability to build trust with academics and staff at all levels. We need a highly organised and effective team player, with a flexible, creative approach, a focus on service delivery and a ‘can do’ attitude. 

This is a fixed-term role until 31 July 2025 (with possibility of an extension depending on the availability of external funding). Full time, part-time (0.8 FTE) and flexible working arrangements will be considered.
