Role Description

Research Impact Facilitator

We welcome applications from motivated and enthusiastic candidates with a strong interest in supporting and enabling research impact.

About the Role

The Research Impact Facilitator will play a key role in developing and communicating the impact of the University’s research (i.e. the ‘real-world’ benefits of our research). Working with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, you will build effective relationships, tools and processes to capture research impact, leading to a repository of impact projects and case studies. These will be used to promote Cranfield’s research both internally and externally, and to support submission to national research assessment exercises (eg the Research Excellence Framework). You will provide comprehensive advice and support to academics, research staff and professional services on all aspects of research impact, to support a sustainable and effective impact pipeline.

This is an opportunity to join an award-winning, supportive team and environment, with exciting opportunities for career development.

About You

We are looking for candidates with previous experience of working in a research environment with a strong interest in supporting and enabling research impact. You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent experience) and have previous experience of building strong working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across a broad range of seniority. It is essential that you have excellent communication skills including writing, editing and presentation skills, and the ability to convey complex information clearly to a range of audiences. A postgraduate degree or research experience in a subject within Cranfield’s thematic research areas  would be an advantage.
