Research Health Care Assistant (Maternity Cover)

We are looking for a Research Health Care Assistant to help provide support and clinical care in line with service needs for participants in a variety of cardiac studies and clinical trials across the Division. You will work within the Oxford Centre for Magnetic Resonance Imaging (OCMR) and the Cardiovascular Clinical Research Facility (CCRF) assisting research teams with day-to-day study activities, helping to ensure the production of good quality data and safeguarding the wellbeing of the patients and participants in their care. You will report to the Lead Nurse and work in the Cardiovascular Medicine research nurse team, which is a friendly and approachable group that warmly welcomes and supports new members of staff.

You will assist CVM nursing and study teams at various stages of the research process from study inception, screening and recruitment, to study visits, study follow-up and study close out, in accordance with individual research protocols and following standard operating procedures. While also providing support to researchers and radiographers.
You must hold a Minimum NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care and have proven experience of caring for patients/participants in a clinical setting (demonstrated within). Skill in venepuncture and cannulation is desirable.

This is a full-time appointment and maternity cover for up to 1 year or until the actual return of the substantive post holder.
