LSHTM is creating 2 Research Finance Administrator roles as it invests in its research operations services which underpins our world leading research programmes. The research operations teams provide vital support and expertise to our research teams with stewardship of their projects in pursuit of LSHTM’s mission to improve health worldwide.
The Research Finance Administrator is responsible for the financial management of a small portfolio of research projects. They will work closely with academics and project administrators in the faculties. This is a varied role that requires a post holder to: prepare financial reports for funders, monitor income from funders, raise supplier invoices, and processing financial transactions. The post will also provide coordination support to the wider team, such as through managing shared e-mailboxes.
You should hold minimum 3 A levels and have experience of working in a customer focused environment and meeting customer needs. You should have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. You should be exceptionally organised and able to prioritise their workload effectively to meet deadlines while maintain accuracy. Strong numeracy skills and the ability to understand financial information are a must. Further particulars are included in the job description.
The post is full-time, 35 hours per week 1 FTE and permanent.
The salary will be on the Professional Services salary scale Grade 4 in the range £33,111 - £37,298 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at LSHTM.
