Overview of the Role

Are you an enthusiastic, organised, innovative and motivated individual, with an interest in research in medical education? Are you an ambitious researcher looking for your next challenge? Do you have a background in digital education and or medical education research? Do you want to further your career in one of the UK’s leading research-intensive Universities?

You will work on the development and evaluation of various education and training projects as part of a research team at the Leeds Institute of Medical Education based at the School of Medicine. The role is to work on the research associated with evaluating these projects, in particular, you will work on diverse projects related but not limited to digital education delivery, ethics in digital education, pedagogical innovations and professional identity within medical education.

The focus of this work will be on ensuring that projects are routed in appropriate theory and subject to rigorous evaluations. Each project will require different methods of evaluation so a strong grounding in mixed methods research is desirable. The ability to work alone or as part of a team is essential, as are strong organisational skills.

You will have previously conducted research studies involving multiple stakeholders and organisations. Ideally, this previous experience would have been gained in an education or healthcare context.
