Fixed Term Contract until 28 February 2023 based on 50% working in the role of Research Fellow and 50% Teaching Fellow
36.5 hours per week.

This role offers a unique position for early career researchers to prepare for a future career as a full-time academic due to its unique combination of teaching and research roles at this level.

Research Fellow
50% of this post will be conducting research in Visual Computing. The position will be supporting a project on manual operation tracking, whereby target individual motions are learnt and subsequently followed and evaluated during task performance. Further research in aspects of visual computing including human computer interaction, graphics, image processing and vision may also be conducted. A PhD/EngD in a visual computing field, or a student about to finish, is a requirement (graphics, image processing or computer vision). Experience with machine learning and publications in the area are also required.

Teaching Fellow
50% of this post will support teaching activities in WMG, University of Warwick, in the following areas: programming and fundamental algorithms and machine learning. In particular, applicants need to be very experienced in C/C++, Python and Pytorch. The successful candidate will deliver a programming and algorithms module and partially support machine learning and visual computing modules. They will also provide supervision for MSc students and co-supervise PhD/EngD students if required.

Upon successful award of your PhD and evidence of this fact, you will be promoted to Research Fellow on the first point of the level 6 of the University grade structure (£30,942).
