Job Description

Reporting to the Director, the Institute for Applied Learning Sciences and Educational Technology (ALSET) (to be renamed Centre for Embodied Learning & Living (CELL)) has an opening for a Research Fellow role.

Major responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with principal investigators and collaborators of the centre to lead and conduct original, impactful research taking information systems perspective on embodied learning
  • Plan and run experiments to understand/define design methodologies
  • Provide guidance to PhD students and Research Engineers in the center
  • Dissemination of the research outcomes to a range of academic and industrial audience through preparation of material, such as journal/conference papers, presentations, demonstrations and videos
  • Contribute to preparation of research grant proposals
  • Participation in research planning meetings as well as industrial/academic events

Qualifications

  • PhD in Information Systems (or equivalent)
  • Experience and interest in Design Science
  • Experience in quantitative methods
  • Good track record of research with a good publication record
  • In addition the candidate should be a team player and be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills (written and verbal)  and interpersonal skills
