Role Description
About the Role
This post will be contributing to research activities focussing on development of a probabilistic multidisciplinary set-based design methodology and framework based on early in-house implementations, utilization of coupled aero-structural analyses for the design of aircraft in computational design optimization processes and the development of methods for design and modelling and simulation of structural components. You will ensure the delivery of project goals, and ensure the dissemination of research activities through publication.
About You
You will be educated to doctoral level in a relevant subject (or close to completion of your PhD), with the necessary technical knowledge and experience with a track record of design optimization for real world problems in aerospace or other domains. With excellent communication skills, you will be a good team player, enjoy presenting, and have the ability to cope with pressure. Project planning is also an important skill for these posts and successful applicants will be able to demonstrate self-motivation, perseverance, and initiative.
