Role Description

We welcome applications from skilled and motivated post-doctoral researchers with Human Factors /  Social Science experience to join our team and work on an exciting new multi-university research project to enhance industrial human-robot interactions and collaborations.

About the Role

The Centre for Structures, Assembly and Intelligent Automation requires a post-doctoral Research Fellow to work in the Industrial Psychology and Human Factors research group. This will primarily involve working on an exciting new research project: ‘Made Smarter Innovation - Research Centre for Smart, Collaborative Industrial Robotics’, working independently as well as with a wider team with researchers from other universities. The role will also require some contributions to teaching and student supervision, and wider academic and human factors opportunities.

About You

You will be educated to doctoral level in a Human Factors / Social Science topic with experience and demonstrated competence in research design / methods and qualitative and quantitative analysis. You will also be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, both orally and in written work, and an enthusiasm to learn and share new knowledge. Applicants close to completion of their PhD will be considered.
