Research Fellow in in Industrial Psychology and Human Factors

We welcome applications from skilled and motivated post-doctoral researchers with experience in Psychology, Ergonomics and/or Human Factors to join our team and work on exciting research projects to enhance the interactions between people and robots in work environments.

About the Role

The Centre for Robotics and Assembly is seeking a post-doctoral Research Fellow to work in its Industrial Psychology and Human Factors research group. This role will primarily involve working as part of a multidisciplinary team on an exciting European research project, JARVIS, to conduct human psychological and behavioural analysis which will advance the design of human-robot production systems. The role will also involve wider academic contributions and opportunities in teaching and student supervision, publications, grant proposal preparation, etc.

About You

You will have formal education/qualification in Psychology, Cognitive Ergonomics or Human Factors and have completed a PhD in which these subjects have been significantly applied. You will have experience and have demonstrated competence in good social science research design and methods, including both qualitative and quantitative analysis. You will also be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, both orally and in written work, and an enthusiasm to learn and share new knowledge. Applicants close to completion of their PhD will be considered.
