Research Fellow in Explainable Artificial Intelligence (AXI)

The Centre for Secure Technologies in the School of Electronics, Electrical Engineering & Computer Science (EEECS) at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the post of Research Fellow in Explainable Artificial Intelligence.

The successful candidate will be expected to conduct research into the application of advanced explainable machine learning / artificial intelligence techniques for use in semiconductor security, specifically in hardware Trojan detection.

This project will be hosted by the Centre for Secure Information Technology  at Queen’s University Belfast and is associated with the Research Institute in Secure Hardware and Embedded Systems.

Please note that all staff on the project are required to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard checks.

The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate you have:

  • 2:1 Honours degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering/Computer Science/Mathematics (or related discipline).
  • Or be about to obtain, a PhD in a relevant subject.
  • Relevant research experience in machine learning.
  • Evidence of a strong publication record commensurate with career stage and experience.

This post is available on a fixed term contract for 24 months. Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
