We welcome applications for this exciting new Research Fellow post, supporting a project that will deliver major impact through developing the next generation design methods for the next generation aircraft which will need to deliver low, or even zero carbon emission flight.

About the Role

This post will be contributing to research activities focussing on the development of data fusion approaches whereby experimental data and high-fidelity data, at varying Mach number, Reynolds number and from a variety of sources, can be brought together to form a single contiguous dataset for analysis in its own right, and for validation of the lower order methods. You will also be involved in the integration of these methods to the industry partner on this project as well as ensuring the delivery of project goals, and the dissemination of research activities through publication.

About You

You will be educated to doctoral level in a relevant subject (or close to completion of your PhD), with the necessary technical knowledge and experience with a track record of design optimization for real world problems in aerospace or other domains. With excellent communication skills, you will be a good team player, enjoy presenting, and have the ability to cope with pressure.  Project planning is also an important skill for these posts and successful applicants will be able to demonstrate self-motivation, perseverance, and initiative.
