We are seeking a talented and ambitious researcher to join the Institute for Community Research and Development.

The Institute for Community Research and Development (ICRD) was established in 2017 to undertake applied research that drives policy developments, delivers effective community-based transformational projects, and promotes social mobility. Working collaboratively with local communities, ICRD uses interdisciplinary expertise to affect positive change in local communities, increase knowledge, and shape local and national policy.

ICRD works to improve the lives of individuals in the region, and works with partners to champion for change. Our core themes are: inequality and social analysis, immigration and migration, criminal justice and violence reduction.

We welcome applications from outstanding candidates who can contribute to our successful Institute and its ambitious plans. To be considered for this Research Fellow post you will be an experienced researcher, qualified to PhD level with expertise in one of our core themes. We are particularly interested in hearing from you if you have experience in research on violence prevention/reduction or community wellbeing.

You will have a strong profile and experience of applied research, with relevant and appropriate research methodologies. You will have experience spanning all stages of the research-project cycle, from project design, literature review, to reporting and disseminating. You will have a track record of accessing external funding and strong and flexible teamwork skills. You will be a team-player and demonstrate the ability to communicate with effectively partners from across research, practice, third sector and lay communities.

There may be opportunities to contribute to postgraduate supervision and teaching.
