Job Description

Project Description: The project aims to develop innovative catalytic processes for the sustainable synthesis of amines from renewable sources, including woody biomass, chitin, and nitrogen. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and optimization of these processes, with a focus on N2 activation and transformation.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop new catalytic processes for the activation and transformation of nitrogen into amines.
  • Synthesize and characterize novel catalysts for nitrogen fixation and amine synthesis.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop integrated processes for green amine synthesis.
  • Contribute to the preparation of research reports, publications, presentations, and grant proposals.
  • Assist in the supervision of graduate students and junior research staff.
  • Comply with all safety regulations and environmental guidelines associated with laboratory work.

Job Requirements

  • PhD training in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in catalysis and green chemistry.
  • Knowledge of sustainable and renewable feedstocks, such as woody biomass and chitin.
  • Proficiency in using analytical techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated ability to publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals.
