The School of Human Sciences has recently is located both on the Avery Hill campus and in the Dreadnought building on the World Heritage site at the Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich. This post will be based in the new refurbished facilities of the Centre for Exercise Activity and Rehabilitation on the Avery Hill Campus which is involved in internationally leading research and teaching in the Faculty. 

This fixed term 1 year post is funded through the Interreg 2 Seas MOTION project (https://www.motion-interreg.eu/ ) which is a European multicentre project which aims to Improve the quality of life of children with neurological disorders through advancements in development, validation and adoption of bionic rehabilitation technology.

A research fellow is required to help validate and collect 3D motion and related biometric data from both developmentally normal children and young people as well as those with neurodevelopmental motor disorders. Data collection in the UK will be in collaboration with Canterbury Christ Church University, University of Kent and Chailey Clinical Services which is part of the Sussex Community NHS foundation trust.

The ideal candidate will have research experience in the analysis of human movement, independent means of travel and, importantly, to hold or be eligible for an extended DBS for working with children.
