Job Description

We seek a highly motivated and an organized scientist with a background in environmental sciences, microbiology and experience working with plants in different environmental systems. The position is within a multi-disciplinary research team, which broadly pursues microbial diversity and physiological investigations on plants systems. The team consists of Post-doctoral fellows, PhDs and other Research Assistants. 


Qualifications
  • A PhD in environmental sciences/biology/life sciences and has worked with ecology, restoration ecology, botany, phycology and chemical ecology. 
  • A self-initiated researcher with an innate capacity for systemic and cross-disciplinary thinking. 
  • Have the ability to understand and integrate concepts from multiple disciplines, especially biogeochemistry, ecology, and plant physiology and data science platforms. 
  • Have a strong background in plant physiology, microbial ecology, and environmental microbiology. 
  • Familiar with molecular biology techniques, environmental sampling, mesocosm experiments and laboratory bioassays.
