Research Fellow Consortium on Practices of Wellbeing and Resilience in BAME Families and Communities (Co-POWeR) (Media Production)

Do you have a research interest in using creative media to add value and increase the visibility of the social and cultural impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Families and Families (BAMEFC)? Do want to use your creative research expertise in making policy-makers and society to be more aware of the negative impact of coronavirus on the living and working lives of people of all ages from BAME communities?

The Faculty of Creative Industries (FCI) is recruiting a Research Fellow to work with Professor Florence Ayisi, and a team of multi-disciplinary researchers on a UKRI/ ESRC (BAME COVID Call) project – ‘Practices of Wellbeing and Resilience in BAME Families and Communities (Co-POWeR).

The post is located within the School of Production and Performance which is home to a broad yet interconnected range of courses in screen including animation, film, games, visual effects all of which contribute to our Film and Television School. It is also home to vibrant courses in media and journalism, drama, dance and performance, and music and sound.

FCI’s research culture is wide-ranging, innovative and values professional practice in a thriving multidisciplinary environment that reflects all parts of the academic community, including early career researchers. The Research Fellow position provides an opportunity for an experienced and ambitious researcher to contribute in expanding FCI’s inter-disciplinary research activities, and also to develop their own research interests. We particularly welcome applicants whose research interests reflects the broad research activities and creates synergies between research areas across the Faculty of Creative Industries. The post will be based at the Cardiff campus.
