Job Description

The successful candidate will work with A/P Han Vinh Huynh (www.carbene.de ) on the preparation and characterization of organic, inorganic and organometallic compounds under the project "Selective deposition and precursor synthesis" in collaboration with Applied Materials. The main responsibilities of the position include preparation and characterization of novel low-molecular weight metal complexes as suitable precursors for chemical vapour deposition (CVD) and atomic layer deposition (ALD). In addition, s/her will assist the PI in overseeing daily operations and maintenance of the lab as well as training junior lab members.

Qualifications

The candidate must hold (or be close to conferment of) an internationally recognized PhD or equivalent degree in Organometallic and Coordination Chemistry, and have a proven, strong track record in experimental research. Synthesis skills in organic, inorganic and organometallic chemistry is a requirement.

The position is available immediately, and the candidate will be offered a one-year contract with possible extension to 3 or more years, depending on research performance.
