Location: Sheffield, ENGLAND
Job Type: FullTime
Deadline: 02 Apr 2024

As a Research Fellow, you will provide integral support to the delivery of a large and complex cancer rehabilitation programme at the AWRC – called

Active Together.

Working closely with the project team, you will be at the heart of delivering a multidisciplinary, inclusive and responsive cancer rehabilitation service, providing diverse and comprehensive support to deliver the programme in a complex and uncertain environment, effectively and efficiently.

You will be involved in the delivery and evaluation aspects of the service, including monitoring performance and reporting on progress, managing risks (including reputational) resolving issues and initiating corrective action as required. You will also develop and nurture productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including NHS colleagues, Yorkshire Cancer Research as funders and project staff to form an effective team to deliver the project. You will also be required to collect, manage and communicate data (written and verbally) and provide reports to the internal project team and external stakeholders, including the funders.

We are seeking candidates with a broad range of experience but with a particular focus on providing support for the delivery and evaluation of a complex public health service. We are looking to attract candidates with experience of data collection, problem solving, communication and facilitation skills, and well-developed stakeholder and customer service skills. Insight and experience of NHS services (particularly cancer services) and processes would be an advantage.

For this job we particularly welcome applications from minority ethnic applicants who are underrepresented in this area at Sheffield Hallam.
