Job Description

The Construction Performance Analytics & Innovation Research Unit (cPAIRu) at the Department of the Built Environment, National University of Singapore, concentrates on three primary research areas:

  • Project/Organization Management Strategies for Green Building & Infrastructure;
  • Project/Organization Performance Analytics and Innovations;
  • Project/Organization Risk Management and Decision Support Systems.
  • As a leading international center for research and consultancy in the built environment industry, cPAIRu drives project and organizational innovations and fosters collaborations with both local and international academic and industry partners, while contributing to national development goals through partnerships among students and staff.

    The cPAIRu is seeking a Research Fellow experienced in leading and executing research projects independently. The role demands a solid knowledge of project management and an in-depth understanding of digital transformation in the built environment industry. This includes knowledge of technological competencies, organizational readiness, regulatory and strategic developments, applications of smart technology, change management, and performance assessment.

    The Research Fellow's responsibilities will extend to administrative and management tasks associated with research projects, as well as supporting PhD students by providing academic and research guidance, together with the PI. Ideal candidates should possess substantial research experience in relevant fields, robust data analysis skills, and, preferably, basic proficiency in programming.

    The successful applicant will perform academic development work as well as field practical work together with the other research staff/students under the guidance of the PI.

    Job Requirements

    • Ph.D (or to be conferred) in a relevant field, such as Civil Engineering, Building Science, or related fields
    • Solid knowledge and familiarity with project management, technological competencies, organizational readiness, regulatory and strategic developments, applications of smart technology, change management, and performance assessment
    • Strong communication, team management, and independent problem-solving abilities
    • Fluency in oral and written English
