The role

Applications are invited for a full-time postdoctoral research fellow B position, with a 26-month duration starting from 15th April 2024 (or soon thereafter if a later start is required by the successful applicants), to develop advanced controllers and state estimators for electric articulated vehicles.

The post is part of a Horizon Europe project that aims to develop new control systems and energy management algorithms for fully electric battery and fuel-cell trucks. The role will encompass activities such as laboratory experiments, road tests, data analysis, and collaboration with fellow project participants. It will also involve documenting the findings in formal reports and contributing to the development of high-quality journal or conference papers and other necessary outputs. The research will be carried out with collaborators from several industrial and academic institutions. The project outcomes will be evaluated beyond the state-of-the-art vehicle demonstrators provided by leading automotive manufacturers. A budget for travel will be provided.
