WMG is a vibrant, cutting-edge research institution at the University of Warwick. They currently have an exciting opportunity for a Research Fellow to join their Intelligent Vehicles Research Group, which is dedicated to the development of smart connected and autonomous vehicles (please note, this advert is for the Research Fellow, if you are interested in the Project Engineer, please apply using the relevant advert). The role is to contribute to a number of exciting research activities in the area of automotive perception sensors (e.g. camera, RADAR, LiDAR) and data compression.

You will need to have a good honours degree and possession of a PhD or equivalent doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline, along with a good understanding of technologies/experience in the field of Intelligent Vehicles, Sensors, Simulation, and data compression. You will also need excellent programming skills.

If you have not yet been awarded your PhD but are near submission or have recently submitted your PhD, any offers of employment will be made as Research Assistant on level 5 of the University grade structure (£30,497). Upon successful award of your PhD and evidence of this fact, you will be promoted to Research Fellow on the first point of the level 6 of the University grade structure (£31,406).
