The School of Social Sciences, Education and Social Work (SSESW) at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the post of Research Fellow (Assistant Survey Manager).
You will be an active member of the ARK team (www.ark.ac.uk ), working with colleagues across Queen’s University Belfast and Ulster University, contributing to ARK’s three public attitudes surveys, and carrying out other research activities and projects as required.
The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:
- Have or be about to obtain a doctorate/PhD in a relevant social science discipline.
- Substantial relevant research experience in quantitative methods.
- Experience of all stages of survey development.
- Demonstrable experience in using statistical packages, such as SPSS or STATA, for a range of multivariate tests including regression analysis.
- Demonstrable experience of report writing or making significant contribution to report writing, including the presentation of survey data.
- Experience of linking with external colleagues and other stakeholders, and contributing to networks.

This post is available on a fixed term contract for 12 months. Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
