  • Base salary range: Level B $105,043 – $124,301 p.a. (pro rata) plus 17% superannuation

The Centre of Aboriginal Medical and Dental Health (CAMDH) was established to promote the concept of holistic health care and cultural security in relation to Aboriginal health and health care practice, research and learning.

About the opportunity

As a Research Fellow in CAMDH, you will work closely with and contribute to the strategic planning and direction of the Aboriginal Ageing Well Research team. The work you do will be essential to support this rapidly growing research team and progress its initiatives across several research projects and a Centre for Research Excellence.

As part of the team you will support Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal researchers and postgraduate students in community-based research, build and maintain research partnerships, and co-author high quality research papers. You will also identify and deliver ongoing capacity building opportunities for the Aboriginal and research community.

About you 

To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate:

  • PhD or Masters in a health-related field.
  • Substantial experience in health-related research, with desirable experience in the Aboriginal health research field.
  • Demonstrated ability to co-author high quality research papers.
  • Experience in supervising and mentoring staff and/or post graduate students
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a culturally inclusive and diverse research team
