You will be a highly motivated person with experience in as many of the following areas as possible: scanning electrochemical cell microscopy, scanning ion conductance microscopy and scanning electrochemical microscopy (all essential), nanopipette electrochemical techniques, optical microscopy, fluorescence confocal laser scanning microscopy), crystal growth studies, electrochemical methods, and MATLAB programming (code development and data analysis routines).

It is essential that you are able to work both independently and as part of a large team across multiple institutions and disciplines. You will therefore need to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and experience of presenting your work to both national and international audiences. If you are near submission or have recently submitted your PhD but have not yet had it conferred, any offers of employment will be made as Research Assistant at the top of level 5 of the University grade structure . Upon receipt of evidence of the successful award of your PhD, you will be promoted to Research Fellow on the first point of level 6 of the University grade structure .
