Research Fellow - 1 Year Fixed Term - REQ6114

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate (PDRA) in Chemical and Energy Engineering with a particular emphasis on the development of 2D materials for energy storage. This full-time post is part of a 12-month LSBU—VITO (BE) project entitled “4D printing of 2D materials for energy storage and conversion applications”.

The PDRA will be responsible for a number of work packages ranging from: Synthesis and characterisation of 2D material derivatives followed by application in energy related areas in collaboration with VITO.

The successful candidate will be expected to work independently and as part of a team and work closely with internal and external collaborators across work packages.

About you

You should have experience in 2D materials synthesis and characterisation, hydrothermal flow synthesis, be a team player, and can do, go do’ attitude.

The skills and experience you will need to be successful

Degree in Chemistry and PhD in Materials Chemistry/Engineering or relevant areas and experience in nanomaterials synthesis and characterization and application in energy conversation areas.
