Based within the Nuffield Department of Population Health, the Cancer Epidemiology Unit (CEU) seeks to provide large-scale reliable evidence on the relationships between common exposures and common conditions of public health importance such as prostate, breast, and colorectal cancers, cardiovascular disease and bone health.

As Research Facilitator you will monitor and manage ethical and information governance approvals for the Unit’s studies, including the preparation and submission of applications, liaison with NHS ethics and University research governance teams, maintenance of regular study updates and progress reporting. You will also monitor and manage existing data linkage and service agreements, prepare and submit new applications for linkage, data sharing agreements and reports to data linkage partners and contribute to publications and presentations as appropriate.

To be considered, you will hold a degree in a relevant subject, or have equivalent experience, and have experience in the conduct or coordination of a health research study. You will also be familiar with the UK Policy Framework for Health and Social Care research, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to show initiative, be pro-active and work independently on a day-to-day basis without supervision.
