Salary
£31406 to £40927 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

Applications are invited for the above post based in the School of Medicine’s Research and Knowledge Exchange (RKE) Team at the Medical School, Queen’s Medical Centre.   

This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding team supporting excellence in research and knowledge exchange for the School of Medicine. You will support academic staff in the planning and development of world leading research, to drive the quality and quantity of research funding applications.   

Candidates must be educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant scientific field and/or have significant hands-on experience in a similar or related role. Ideal candidates will have previous experience of the development of research proposals and bringing bid teams together in a higher education, commercial or charitable setting and an understanding of the UK research funding landscape. The ability to take a proactive, collaborative and positive approach to supporting the development of new research programmes, managing multiple priorities and demands on your time will be essential. Candidates must have the ability to work effectively as a member of a team, have excellent oral and written communication skills and experience of engaging, influencing, communicating and negotiating with diverse stakeholders.

The post is offered on a permanent contract. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours) ; however applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 29 hours per week).
