We are seeking for a Research Coordinator to join an established research team with interest in paediatric Inflammatory Bowel Disease (pIBD). The coordinator will be a member of the IBD BioResource Team based in Oxford and will collaborate very closely with staff in Cambridge IBD BioResource, NIHR BioResource and local centres throughout the UK.
The purpose of this role is to coordinate the pIBD programme by engaging with pIBD recruiting sites across the UK. This role is expected to be diverse including organisation and submission of ethical requirements, coordination and management of sample and data collection across all centres. The Coordinator will work with the pIBD BioResource management committee, adult IBD BioResource team and NIHR BioResource team based in Cambridge to develop and/or review essential research study documents including ethics application, patient information material, informed consent forms as well as other paperwork related to pIBD ensuring regulatory compliance, relevant legislative requirements and Good Clinical Practice guidelines.
The post holder will provide training and support for recruiting site staff including clinical teams and research nurses. Promoting the project through public engagement in liaison with participating sites and participants and keeping them up to date with study developments through regular e-newsletters and materials posted on website and social media. The post holder will engage with potential paediatric and adult IBD BioResource user groups from science and industry – encouraging their potential use of the paediatric IBD BioResource.
The post is full-time (part-time hours will be considered) and fixed-term for 2 years. The post is funded by CICRA, a charity supporting children with Crohns and colitis, and their families.
