The Warwick University History Department is one of the largest history departments in the UK, with teaching and research notable for its disciplinary range and geographical scope. The Department has a significant budget of £10 million in teaching and research income. The Department is comprised of 52 academic staff, 12 postdoctoral staff, 11 support staff, ~900 undergraduate students, and ~100 postgraduate students. The Department has a strong international reputation and high rankings in university guides and surveys, and was ranked first in the UK in the last Research Excellence Framework (REF) for the proportion of world-leading research activity (4*) in the Department. The Department of History seeks to appoint a pro-active Research Centre Co-ordinator to provide high level and effective administrative support to the Directors of two Research Centres: the Centre for History of Medicine (CHM) and the European History Research Centre (EHRC) and the Department Co-ordinator (Finance/Research). In particular, the role holder will support events and activities organised through the Research Centres, including events organisation, web maintenance, producing publicity materials, booking of catering, accommodation, and travel, monitoring research grant budgets and the operating budgets of the two Research Centres, raising purchase orders, processing invoices, and dealing with expense claims.

The post is offered on a permanent 0.65 FTE basis (23.7 hours per week), and it is hoped that the successful candidate can work four or five days a week and we are happy to be flexible for the right candidate. Training and induction will be provided.

Expected interview date: Middle to late February 2022. Interviews are likely to take place remotely via Microsoft TEAMS.
