A University of Cambridge Research Associate position is available at the MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit (CBU) to support the optimisation, standardisation and development of (f)MRI data analysis in the context of cognitive neuroscience research. The post will be managed by Dr Marta Correia, but work with a variety of neuroscientists and other Methods Support positions at the CBU, guided by the Imaging Management Committee chaired by Prof Rik Henson.

The post will involve supporting MRI analysis, particularly fMRI, using data from the 3T Siemens Prisma at the CBU, as well as the 7T Siemens Terra at the nearby Wolfson Brain Imaging Centre (WBIC). Support will include preprocessing of high-res fMRI data, analyses of fMRI timeseries, including functional and effective connectivity, and multivariate pattern analysis, as well as development of shareable pipelines for large datasets. There is a requirement to teach and co-organise a small number of lectures and demos as part of our neuroimaging training programme. There is scope for independent research and methods development.

Applicants should hold a PhD (or equivalent) in neuroscience, neuroimaging, medical physics, computer science or related field. Substantial experience of MRI analysis is needed, as is excellent computing skills, particularly in Python and Matlab.

Start date for this post is ideally 1st October 2021.
